Ron, K6EXT, maintains this well for the club. Ron will begin posting links to Zoom recordings of club general meetings, and add a link to the GoFundMe site to replace the tower used by the WB6ECE repeaters and multiple other services, which was destroyed by fire in Bonny Doon.

Old Business

  • Public Safety Power Shut-off Preparation Exercise
This ARES-organized repeat exercise is delayed until a suitable site can be located. Robert, KJ6FFP, is working to get permissions for a site. The club offers to co-sponsor this training event, allowing the club’s $1,000,000 liability insurance to be used. This should help with getting permission to use a site.
  • Winter Field Day, Jan. 30 – 31, 2021
Waiting to see what Covid restrictions will be in force. Some interest from Capitola Mall.
  • Support for Hams Who Lost Equipment in the Fire
Becky will compare the club roster with the Cal Fire database of destroyed homes to see which members were affected and send letters of condolence. Don is investigating donations of equipment and award replacements.

New Business

  • Repeater Input-Output Auxiliary Panel
John circulated a proposal to add an I/O panel to the repeater rack to make accessible the analog and digital accessory connections provided by the new Arcom RC210 repeater controller. This allows the easy addition of voltage and temperature monitors and repeater programming to allow any club member to interrogate them. No cost to the club. Approved by the Board.
  • Speaker for October General Meeting
John Sisler, KJ6ZL, will present on his portable satellite station, used at Field Day and other events.

Adjournment
Meeting adjourned at 8:41 PM.

Next Board Meeting

Zoom Conference call, Thursday, Oct. 22, 7:30 PM
Richard will set up the Zoom conference.
